Why MBLP exists
MBLP was founded by Edward Noakes and Marouane Haloui, associates with international law firm experience across Morocco, France and the United States. For the last four years, they have practised in Morocco, working on a wide range of deals with foreign and local clients and counterparties.
Along the way, they have felt first-hand how hard it can be to translate a law school education into the day-to-day reality of a demanding firm — and they have watched a lot of talented junior associates run into the same wall. Many struggle in their first six months: not because they lack ability, but because nobody ever showed them how to convert what they know into strong, confident work product.
The Moroccan Business Law Port (MBLP) is built for exactly that moment. It is designed to help juniors settle in faster, make a stronger first impression with partners and senior lawyers at international firms, and — ultimately — understand and serve their clients' interests in the best shape and form.
What we're aiming for
A Moroccan legal generation that walks into its first job knowing how to proofread properly, research thoroughly, own a task, and hold a real conversation with a client. Nothing more glamorous than that — and nothing more useful.
