How enrolment works

What this course is about

University teaches you the law. This course teaches you how to behave, communicate, and deliver once you walk into a firm. We cover the things that actually get juniors noticed — or quietly sidelined: careful proofreading, being honest about what you know, taking ownership of a task, and knowing how to research something properly instead of guessing.

What we cover

  • 1Proofreading like it's your job — because it is
  • 2Saying "I don't know, but I'll find out" the right way
  • 3Taking responsibility for a task from start to finish
  • 4Complete legal research: sources, checking, cross-referencing
  • 5Professional email and communication with partners and clients
  • 6Managing your time, your inbox, and your reputation

What you'll walk away with

Hand in work that a senior can actually send out
Communicate clearly with partners, peers, and clients
Own a task properly instead of leaving loose ends
Build a research habit you can rely on under pressure

Edward Noakes

Founder & Instructor, MBLP

Edward founded the Moroccan Business Law Port (MBLP) to share the practical know-how that too often gets picked up by chance in a first job. He is not a veteran lawyer with decades on the clock, but he has been in and around law firms long enough to guide a good number of interns and law students — and to notice the same gaps between university and the workplace, again and again. MBLP is his way of helping the next intake arrive a little sharper, a little more confident, and ready to take on real work from day one.

Small on purpose

Every MBLP cohort is capped at 20 places. Enough for a proper group, small enough that your instructor knows your work.
